The Christmas Rose – Helleborus niger will be about to flower.  Make sure there are no weeds or leaf litter around it so you can admire it properly.  

If you are lucky the first flowers on your Camellia x williamsii varieties will appear before Christmas and allow you to pick a real flower from your garden for Christmas Day.
