As you may know, apart from mail order in the UK we despatch many orders to Europe. Our usual method of transport is Parcelforce Euro48 but there is a height restriction of just under 1.5 metres.

As you will see from the photographs this large order to Louth in Ireland is approximately 2.7 metres in height and 214 kgs in weight! With an order of this size, 60 plants in total, we use a different method of packing and transport. Instead of packing in to cardboard boxes our packing department, using their expertise, place the plants into a wooden crate to create a pyramid shape. You will be interested to learn that this consignment took 4 hours to pack by Chrystal who as you can see is just under 1.5 metres tall hence why she enlisted the help of Mel who is much taller!

The consignment was then collected by DSV Road Limited of Bristol for onward shipment to Ireland.
