"No problems at all. Your website is refreshingly clear and easy to navigate. This is my first purchase of plants from the web and the information pertaining to both the item itself and how to complete the transaction couldn't have been more helpful. Many thanks indeed- Catherine"

Landscaping The Village Hall at Caerhays

The Village Hall was built at the turn of the 19th Century as a staff reading room and as an adjunct to the Village School. The latter closed in the 1960’s and the small parish community of Caerhays decided by popular vote to surrender the lease back to the Caerhays Estate in 2006. The building was recently converted to luxury accommodation for holiday letting and for use by sections of the judiciary. The new Village Hall garden faces the salt laden Westerly gales and therefor presented a problem to the Burncoose landscaping team. The garden was consequently surrounded by traditional Cornish 5-6 foot high stone and earth-bank hedge for wind protection. A sitting and barbecue area was sunk into the ground in a spot to catch the afternoon sun. Planting was limited to salt and wind tolerant plants with an eye to easy ongoing maintenance.
