Now that we have all settled back to usual business at Burncoose we have had time to reflect on our time at Chelsea 2011. We were very pleased to be awarded a Silver Gilt, bringing our total now to 21 Gold and 9 Silver Gilt.

Putting together our stand was certainly a challenge given the brief we had set ourselves. And the fine weather we had experienced in the Spring left us with very few Rhododendrons and Azaleas to show, however we were able to exhibit some herbaceous perennials that would not normally be in flower during May.

Keeping all the plants in the geographical zones that were represented on the stand was educational for us. We had hoped that by doing this it would be informative of the preferred cultural conditions of each of the featured plants, encouraging gardeners to try growing them at home.

We had some great feedback from the visiting public throughout the week so thank you to everyone that came to see the stand and take the time to chat to us.

Plans have already commenced for Chelsea 2012. Plants have been selected and potted on and research into next years' theme has begun.
