Superior variety which has very large shining leaves and deep red flowers. It is also hardier than other varieties and flowers heavily in MAR-APR well before other varieties

Burncoose Catalogue Code

Climber - Some of these climbing plants will need trellis or wire supports if growns on walls or fences. Other grow aerial roots and self-clinging - produces flowers to 7cm (3in) long in pendent racemes to 15cm (6in) long.
Evergreen - dark green leaves to 15cm (6in) long with 13-25 narrowly oblong leaflets.

Hardiness Rating

Frost hardy - Plant can withstand temperatures down to -5°C (23°F)
Will grow outside in milder locations - This could include plants which would survive happily in a greenhouse or conservatory if not in a mild location. If you have a sheltered spot in your garden then it may do well here. - loam based compost with plenty of grit for greenhouse and plenty of light.
