very quick growing tree with shiny green leaves

Burncoose Catalogue Code

Conifer - female cones are cylindrical, 5-11cm (2-4½in) long, with hidden bracts and are green, ripening to brown.
Evergreen - soft, dark-green leaves 3-5cm (1¼-2in) long with whitish-green bands on the reverse from small, conical resinous buds.
Tree - smooth grey bark cracks into squares on old trees.
