Climber - Some of these climbing plants will need trellis or wire supports if growns on walls or fences. Other grow aerial roots and self-clinging - deciduous female twining climber with stout shoots covered in red-brown hairs. Produces clusters of 2 or 3 creamy white, later yellow, flowers 4cm (1½in) across.
Deciduous - broadly ovate, heart-shaped, mid-green leaves to 20cm (8in) long.
Fruit - Plants which produce an edible or ornamental fruit - plant with 'Tomuri' to get fruit. Bristly-skinned, greenish brown fruit to 7cm (3in) long.
