Evergreen - to semi evergreen. Narrowly ovate, shallowly-lobed, dark-green leaves to 4cm (1½in) long.
Semi-evergreen - Keeps some of its foliage all year, and will drop some leaves as well.
Tall Shrub - slender, arching, dark purple-brown shoots. Produces pendent, bell-shaped flowers 6-8cm (2½-3in) long along the young shoots.

Hardiness Rating

Frost hardy - Plant can withstand temperatures down to -5°C (23°F)
Will grow outside in milder locations - This could include plants which would survive happily in a greenhouse or conservatory if not in a mild location. If you have a sheltered spot in your garden then it may do well here. - shelter from cold, drying winds.
