Burncoose Catalogue Code

Deciduous - pinnate leaves to 30cm (12in) or more composed of 5-9 elliptic to oval, entire or serrated, glossy leaflets, bronze-purple when young.
Tree - male flowers are in drooping catkins 5-10cm (2-4in) long. Produces edible nuts within spherical fruit to 5cm (2in) long.

Fully hardy - Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
