  • Pests & Diseases - none
  • Place of Origin - India(Assam), northern Burma.
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Height - 2m (6ft)
  • Spread - 2m (6ft)
  • Deciduous - oval, tapered leaves to 15cm (6in) long.
  • Medium Shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - flowers, to 2cm (¾in) long with wide-spreading lobes are carried in arching, terminal racemes 12-17cm (5-7in) long followed by small green berries.
  • Full Sun - shelter from cold winds
  • Partial Shade
  • fertile well drained soil
