LITHODORA 'Heavenly Blue'




  • Good to know - syn Lithospermum diffusum. Blooms over a long period from late spring to summer.
  • Pests & Diseases - aphids and red spider mite in glasshouse
  • Place of Origin - garden origin
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Height - 15cm (6in)
  • Spread - 60cm (24in)
  • Alpine or Rock Plant - These plants prefer well drained soil and are generally dwarf in habit. - prostrate, spreading, many-branched shrub. Produces a profusion of flowers to 1cm (½in) across in terminal clusters.
  • Evergreen - elliptic to narrowly oblong, deep-green leaves 1-3.5cm (½ to 1½in) long.

  • Acid Loving - humus-rich.
