Evergreen - glossy, oval, dark-green leaves to 5cm (2in) long.
Tall Shrub - upright, bushy shrub, arching with age. Produces solitary 5-petalled flowers 2cm (¾in) across with conspicuous stamens, followed by purple-black berries 1cm (½in) long.
