Good to know - self-fertile but produces heavier fruiting when cross-pollinated. For a better chance of fruit, where temperatures fall below 5°C (41°F), grow in cool greeenhouse or conservatory.

Evergreen - elliptic-oblong, grey-green leaves to 7cm (3in) long, white-woolly beneath.

Fruit - Plants which produce an edible or ornamental fruit - large, round to oval fruit to 8ozs.

Tall Shrub - upright, tree-like. Produces flowers 4cm (1½in) across with long, red stamens.
