Herbaceous - rhizomatous perennial. Produces flowers 2cm (¾in) or more across with spurs to 5mm (¼in) long.
Semi-evergreen - Keeps some of its foliage all year, and will drop some leaves as well. - heart-shaped to rounded, toothed, bright-green leaves to 6cm (2½in) long.
