Deciduous - narrowly lance-shaped, tapered, bright-green leaves to 12cm (5in) long.

Tree - fast-growing, wide-spreading tree with slender, golden-yellow shoots, pendent to the ground. Produces slender catkins to 5cm (2in) long, yellow males and green females often present on the same tree. Catkins are produced with the leaves.
