Woody climber from moist woodland in Chile. Coral-red flowers.

Climber - Some of these climbing plants will need trellis or wire supports if growns on walls or fences. Other grow aerial roots and self-clinging - weakly twining climber. Spherical flowers are 1.5cm (½in) across on stalks 5cm (2in) long.
Evergreen - heart-shaped, dark-green leaves, 10cm (4in) long, glaucous beneath. Small marginal spines.

Hardiness Rating

Frost hardy - Plant can withstand temperatures down to -5°C (23°F) - mulch roots against frost in autumn.
