  • Good to know - flowers on new growth so can bloom through to autumn. A good container subject (JI No.3 compost). Can be pruned with care, can be used as an informal hedge. All daphnes resent transplanting.
  • Pests & Diseases - aphids, leaf spot, grey mould(Botrytis), viruses.
  • Place of Origin - garden origin. UK. Robin White, Hampshire.
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Height - 60-70cm (24-28in)
  • Spread - 60-70cm (24-28in)
  • Dwarf Shrub - Typically only grows to a maximum of one or two feet in height but there will be some exceptions. - slow-growing, compact shrub.
  • Semi-evergreen - Keeps some of its foliage all year, and will drop some leaves as well.
