  • Pests & Diseases - aphids, powdery mildew.
  • Place of Origin - garden origin.
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Height and Spread - 2.5m (8ft)
  • Deciduous - leaves, to 3cm (¾ in) long turn crimson in autumn.
  • Tall Shrub - vigorous, rounded shrub. Produces flowers in racemes of 2-5, 1cm (½in) long, along the branches, followed by red fruits.
  • Full Sun
  • Partial Shade
  • No Preference - any well-drained soil.
