Climbing alstroemeria

Beautiful twining climber with custers of long brick red-orange funnel-shaped flowers which are yellow-orange on the inside. Will not tolerate frost as young plants but are more robust in maturity when they die down for the winter

Climber - Some of these climbing plants will need trellis or wire supports if growns on walls or fences. Other grow aerial roots and self-clinging - spherical umbels of 40 or more narrowly funnel-shaped flowers 4-5cm (1½-2in) long.
Deciduous - rarely semi-evergreen.

Greenhouse or Conservatory - Not the sort of plants to be grown outside where there are likely to be frosts. These plants need to be grown in a conservatory or cool greenhouse or at least brought inside for the winter - under glass - loam based potting compost in good light but shade from hot sun.
