Genus of 475 species of deciduous or evergreen trees and shrubs found in forests in tropical, subtropical and warm-temperate regions worldwide.

  • Place of Origin - tropical, sub tropical and warmer temperate zones worldwide.
  • Will grow outside in milder locations - This could include plants which would survive happily in a greenhouse or conservatory if not in a mild location. If you have a sheltered spot in your garden then it may do well here. - for greenhouse use loam based potting - full light
  • Deciduous - or evergreen trees and shrubs.
