Deciduous - and evergreen perennials. Flowers are usually pendent, single or in groups from the leaf axils. The petals form a cup- or bell-shaped corolla. Leaves are usually lance-shaped to oval. Fruits are edible.

Hardiness Rating

Fully hardy to Frost tender - Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F) but plants could be possibly damaged below 5°C (41°F) - severe frosts will cause damage to tips of fully hardy plants.
