Champion Trees at Caerhays

Lecture by Charles Williams at Caerhays Castle

 

Charles Williams (owner) will give the lecture and conduct the garden tour. 

Caerhays has 83 Champion UK and Ireland Trees by height and girth. Only 9 other UK and Irish gardens have more. The lecture will explain the methods for measuring record trees and examine the growth rates of some over the past decades with examples for attendees to view. The garden tour will visit as many of the Caerhays Champion Trees as possible.

Lecture time – 9.30am – 1.00pm

Tea/Coffee on arrival in the Georgian Hall from 9.30am.

Walking boots and wet weather clothing highly recommended.
