Caerhays Castle and its owners have played significant roles in the political and commercial history of Cornwall. Nestled in its own grounds on the spectacular south  Cornwall coast between Truro and St Austell, Caerhays has been the setting for many an intrigue. It has witnessed the development and arrival of wealth and has been the scene and cause of financial ruin. Today, the Caerhays story rolls on with the discovery of a hand-written catalogue that has lain forgotten and undisturbed  for more than 150 years. Found in the castle’s former sluice room, the catalogue provides a detailed description of each thumbnail specimen in the internationally- important Caerhays collection of minerals....
