PlantSnapp, the recently launched plant identification app, and brainchild of George Williams, is starting to make a real stir in the horticultural industry; something Burncoose Nurseries is delighted to see, having supported its path to launch with keen interest.
This unique plant app not only manages the identification of a plant from a photograph, but also provides care information and links to online suppliers of the plant. Burncoose Nurseries, part of the Caerhays Estate, has acted as a 'horticultural expert' behind the app since day one, taking some of the very first plant identification enquiries during initial trials, and continuing its relationship with the new business since the app's official launch at the end of August.
The app is enduring ongoing growth and development and undoubtedly has exciting times ahead of it. Its demonstration of how latest technology can be utilised within a very traditional industry to help curb peoples natural curiosity, instils confidence that this new, innovative business will go from strength to strength and receive growing support from the industry and the app's target market.
