Burncoose has had an online shopping website since 1996. We were there right at the very beginning of the online shopping explosion. Our website has undergone many developments during that time, but it has always focused on the plants we sell and giving the customer the easiest way to find and buy often rare plants they want.

We pride ourselves in the range of plants we offer and wanted to ensure that our mobile website wasn't a cut down version. We wanted our mobile and tablet visitors to see everything they could on the full-size site. It took a lot of planning and coding to re-organise the website from the bottom-up to ensure all users find the shopping easy to do. Our website is fully responsive, as a visitor to the site you don't have to do anything to get hopefully the best version of the site for your browsing device.
Julie Hosegrove from Forgecom said " It is important when developing a responsive website to put in those little touches that often get forgotten. User experience is key and we have included things like email friendly pop-up keypads for when you are enter your email address, so you don't have to search for the @, and we have turned off the auto-correct because email addresses often don't start with a capital letter and send spell checkers into a frenzy. We change the size of our submit and continue buttons depending on what device you are using, and our links are big-finger touch friendly. Having worked with Burncoose for nearly 20 years we understand their business and their customers and feel this is a great step forward in the constant evolution of their website."
