Opening with a Flourish
Caerhays Gardens have opened this year with the weather warming up, the birds singing and starting to build nests and the first of the magnolias showing their first flowers, naming just a few, Magnolia ‘Caerhays belle’ , Mollicomata x cambellii , sargentiana robusta x campbellii , along with many Rhododendrons in flower including a Caerhays hybrid called ‘Winter Intruder’, and not forgetting the williamsii camellias, with the two original Camellia saluenensis that was introduced by George Forrest, that JC Williams crossed with Camellia japonica, to produce the first williamsii Camellias
