Caerhays gardens spring into life
 
The internationally-famous Spring gardens at Caerhays Castle are opening for the 2011 season this week.
Home to a National Magnolia Collection, the gardens at Caerhays are a spring-time wonderland for visitors.
Caerhays is a woodland garden covering the whole of Castle Wood and now extending on into Kennel Close Wood, Forty Acres Wood and Old Park.
With recent clearings and new plantings there are well over 120 acres of garden tended by a team of up to five gardeners.
It is designated as being of outstanding importance by Kew Gardens and Registered as a Grade II Park and Garden by English Heritage.
Opening Times 2011 - Gardens
14th February to 5th June seven days a week 10.00 to 5.00 (last admission 4.00).
House (conducted tours only)
14th March to 30th May weekdays only (including Bank Holidays); tours 12.00, 1.30, 3.00 (due to restricted numbers on tours, reservations are advised).
There’s a special offer for people living in postcode areas TR1, TR2, PL25 or PL26. If they take proof of address they qualify for a 10% discount on entry charges to the gardens.
