These are small upright evergreen shrubs growing to only about 3ft. They are native to Chile, SW Argentina and the Falkland Islands. Although rare and little known they are ideal plants for seaside locations. Their dark green leaves resemble those of rosemary and are similarly oblong to lance shaped. About 1-1½in long.
The flower heads appear in late spring and early summer and are, unlike rosemary, daisy-like, white and round with yellow centres on long 4in stalks.
These plants do well in full sun in a fertile well drained soil and will propagate from summer cuttings with a little difficulty as we have found.
