January Monthly Inspiration
With most of us still subject to COVID rules and regulations Burncoose is pleased to announce that our 2021 mail order catalogue is now online and available by post for you to enjoy and plan for new introductions to your own garden in the coming months.

The 2021 website and catalogue includes scores of new plant introductions and a large number of plants which the nursery once stocked which are now available again.
Two plants to cheer us all up from the ghastliness of lockdown in January
Hamamelis x intermedia ‘Pallida’ is one of the most popular of the witch hazels with dense clusters of sulphur yellow flowers along the naked stems. A sweet but delicate scent will pervade the garden on stiller days.
Daphne bholua ‘Jacqueline Postill’ is a very hardy form with large showy purplish pink flowers in profusion from the tips of each branch. The flowers fade in colour as they open but the strong and extremely sweet scent does not. In a patio pot beside the house or in a garden border there is little to equal this plant at this drab time of the year.
Burncoose Gardens and Caerhays Castle Gardens hope and expect to be able to reopen to the public on 14th February 2021. If you are planning a spring break to Cornwall to enjoy the very best of the spring gardens here please make time for a visit.
