Gardening Tips for September
September can often be seen as a quiet month in the garden, following the riots of colourful herbaceous borders and glorious shrubs, to be followed by the blazing colours of autumn.
This month is a good time for a tidy and prune of the beds and garden in preparation for winter. This will lead to some gaps in the garden, there are a good range of colourful plants that will fill this planting opportunity. Please see the following suggestions for a colourful September and beyond.
Grasses are always a good border filler, and provide all ground interest. Grasses are normally very easy to care for and take little maintenance.
