What a delight it is that our woodland gardens at Burncoose and those at our sister gardens at Caerhays Castle are now fully open for the public to, at last, enjoy. Details of the Caerhays opening times and online booking can be found here.
For those of you who cherish and admire magnolias April is the best month to do so. Here are a few examples of the new and different flower colours which magnolia breeders from around the world have created in the last couple of decades. No longer are magnolias simply pink or white in flower. There is far more choice today!

Here are a few early flowering herbaceous plants which are new to our catalogue this year, but have been on the website for a while:

A new RHS science paper has recommended Cotoneaster franchettii as being at least 20% more effective than other shrubs at soaking up pollution by trapping harmful airborne particles. This is a plant to help boost the environment and improve human health in more built up areas. The berries are a real show in autumn too!
