For the last 3 years the Burncoose Nurseries gold medal winning stands, at the Chelsea Flower Show, have featured Cornus ‘Venus’. This photograph and banner may remind you of what this exceptional plant looks like.
Cornus ‘Venus’ is a vigorous, small spreading tree which eventually grows to around 12-15 feet in height. As you can see it has an abundance of huge, white bracted flowerheads. This plant is perfectly hardy and will happily grow in full sun and dappled shade. It was originally bred in New Jersey, USA and is only very rarely available for sale, in any quantity, in the UK.

We are also offering Cornus ‘Scarlet Fire’ for what may well be the first time in the UK. The flower buds are a magnificent deep pink. This was also bred in New Jersey, USA and only introduced in 2017.
