Continuing development of the gardens at Coombe Hill in Devon.
A colding setting ontop of a hill with glorious views of the Devon countryside but with no new planting for many decades.
The objectives of the new owners was firstly to create bold new banks of rhododenrons and hydrangeas visible from the main house but with some shelter.
The first phase of new planting took place in the spring of 2011 and this is how it looked two years later in spring 2013.
The second phase of new planting involved creating a laurel hedge around the tennis court and creating a second new thick hedge along the roadside edge.
