ABELIOPHYLLUM distichum 'Roseum'

Commonly known as White forsythia




  • Deciduous - opposite, oval, matt, dark green leaves to 8cm (3in) long, often turning purple in autumn.
  • Shades of pink - All shades of pink through to Carmine (red) - pale pink
  • Height - 1.5m (5ft)
  • Spread - 1.5m (5ft)
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - open, spreading shrub. Produces small, 4-petalled flowers in long axillary racemes.
  • Hardy - very cold winter - Hardy in all of UK and northern Europe. Plant can possibly withstand temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F)
  • Full sun
  • Additional Features - Good to know - can grow taller when trained against a wall.
