  • Evergreen - leaves are slightly bronze beneath.
  • Shades of pink - All shades of pink through to Carmine (red) - with maroon spots
  • Height - 2.5-3m (8-10ft)

  • Climber - Some of these climbing plants will need trellis or wire supports if grown on walls or fences. Other grow aerial roots and are self-clinging - early-flowering species. Produces 4-to 5-sepalled flowers singly, or in clusters, followed by attractive seed heads on previous year's growth.
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)

  • Additional Features - Good to know - - grow over arch or pergola to appreciate the flower colour. Prune after flowering if size needs to be restricted. Wildlife plant - early nectar and pollen for insects.
