  • Deciduous - oval, mid-green leaves to 12cm (5in) long turning red, orange and purple in autumn
  • White
  • Height - 6m (20ft)
  • Spread - 4m (13ft)
  • Tall Shrub
  • Tree - or multi- stemmed shrub. Purplish-green flowers surrounded by 4-6 bracts to 8cm (3in) long.
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Full sun - shelter from cold winds
  • Partial shade
  • Additional Features - Good to know - ultimate size in 20-50 years. Flowering is dependent upon previous year's summer. Long, hot summers produce best flowers.
