Delivery Information Available Early Spring 2021
  • Evergreen - pointed, oval, glossy dark-green leaves to 10cm (4in).
  • Green - yellowish green
  • Height - 1m (3ft)
  • Spread - 1.5m (5ft)
  • Dwarf shrub - Typically only grows to a maximum of one or two feet in height but there will be some exceptions. - spreading shrub. Flowers, to 2cm (¾in), in pairs of up to 10 are produced at the base of overlapping shoots.
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)

  • Caution, toxic if eaten, may cause skin allergy or irritant - These plants are toxic if eaten and may also cause a skin allergy, rash, irritation to eyes and skin.
  • Additional Features - Good to know - - all daphnes resent transplanting. Attractive to bees and other insects.
  • Pests & Diseases - aphids, leaf spot, grey mould, viruses.
  • Place of origin - southeastern Europe, northern Turkey, southeastern Bulgaria, Caucasus.

    Suitable for: Deciduous and evergreen trees, and some deciduous shrubs.
    Pruning: Minimal pruning required. Prune wayward or crossing branches to maintain a healthy framework.
    When: When dormant in the late winter/early spring. Some in the summer/autumn to prevent bleeding of sap.

    Action: Trim or lightly cut back shoots that spoil symmetry. Deadhead regularly.
