  • Deciduous - pinnate leaves to 90cm (36in) long with 13-25 elliptic leaflets.
  • Green - yellowish green

  • Tall Shrub - upright, sparsely-branched shrub with stout, hairless shoots. Produces fruit in cylindrical pods to 10cm (4in) long in autumn.
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Full sun - shelter from cold winds.
