  • Evergreen - leaves are usually divided into 5-11 spine-toothed leaflets and are copper-red and brown when young, turning green.
  • Yellow - pale yellow

  • Bulb/Corm or rhizomatous perennial - clump-forming rhizomatous perennial. Small flowers 0.6-2cm (¼-¾in) across with red-tinted spurs
