EUCALYPTUS coccifera

  • Evergreen - rounded, mid-green juvenile leaves followed by elliptic, grey-green adult leaves to 10cm (4in) long.
  • Cream - creamy-white.
  • Height - 18m (60ft)
  • Spread - 7m (22ft)
  • Tree - spreading tree with peeling, white or white-grey bark. Produces clusters of 3, sometimes up to 9, flowers.
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Full sun - shelter from cold drying winds.
