Commonly known as Cape jasmine
Genus of about 200 species of evergreen trees and shrubs from open woodland or savannah in tropical regions of Africa and Asia.
Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height
Additional Features - Good to know - - grown for their attractive foliage and fragrant, showy flowers.
Pests & Diseases - whiteflies, mealybug, grey mould (Botrytis).
Place of origin - tropical Africa and Asia.
Garden Location/Conditions - Greenhouse / conservatory - Not the sort of plants to be grown outside where there are likely to be frosts. These plants need to be grown in a conservatory or cool greenhouse or at least brought inside for the winter - do not over-water in winter
Soil Conditions - Acid / ericaceous loving - - for greenhouse - ericaceous compost - dappled light - moderate humidity.
