    Lance-shaped to oblong, glossy, bright-green leaves 5-8cm (2-3in) long which narrow to form tendrils.

    Perennial. Flowers are 5-10cm (2-4in) across and have 6 wavy-margined reflexed petals with long, protruding stamens.

    Tolerant of low temperatures, but not surviving being frozen. Except in frost-free inner-city areas or coastal extremities requires glasshouse conditions. Plant can withstand temperatures down to 1°C (34°F)
