  • Evergreen - alternate, pinnate leaves with 3-5 sharply-pointed oval leaflets to 1cm (½in) long.

  • Dwarf shrub - Typically only grows to a maximum of one or two feet in height but there will be some exceptions. - slender, congested branches. Flowers, solitary or in pairs, to 1.5cm (½in) across followed by greenish-white berries.
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
