  • Evergreen - to semi evergreen. Oval 3-5 lobed leaves to 12cm (5in) with toothed margins.
  • Shades of pink - All shades of pink through to Carmine (red) - mauve pink
  • Height - to 2m (6½ft) or more
  • Spread - to 2m (6½ft) or more
  • Tall Shrub - produces stout stems carrying numerous open-funnel-shaped flowers to 7cm (3in) across.
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Full sun - shelter from cold winds.
  • Additional Features - Good to know - - wildlife plant - insects
  • Pests & Diseases - rust, stem rot, fungal diseases.
  • Place of origin - garden origin.
  • Resistant to honey fungus - These plants have little or few problems with honey fungus.
  • Flower Shape - Racemes - - terminal racemes 30-50cm (12-20in) long

  • Pruning group - Pruning group 4
    Suitable for: Deciduous trees and shrubs that flower on current year's growth or are grown for winter stem effect.
