  • Deciduous - ovate, shallowly 3- to 5-lobed, toothed, grey-hairy leaves to 15cm (6in) long.
  • White
  • Height - 4m (14ft)
  • Spread - 2.5m (8ft)
  • Tall Shrub - fast-growing, upright shrub, sometimes tree-like, with stout, grey-felted shoots. Produces long-stalked, pendent flowers with long stamens.
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)

  • Additional Features - Pests & Diseases - - whiteflies, red spider mites, mealybugs, scale insects (particularly in greenhouse).

  • Resistant to honey fungus - These plants have little or few problems with honey fungus.
