    Commonly known as Golden Himalayan honeysuckle

    Plucked from the shrubberies and game coverts of Victoriana an easy shrub for the modern wildlife garden and border foil for exotica.

    Genus of about 6 species of suckering deciduous shrubs from cliffs and mountain woodland in India, the Himalaya, China and Burma.

      Tapered leaves to 15cm (6in) long.

      Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height
      Produces flowers to 2cm (¾in) long with wide-spreading lobes, followed by small green berries.
    • Pruning group 2
      Suitable for: Deciduous shrubs and trees that flower in Spring or early Summer on previous year's growth, including plants that produce new growth at or near ground level.
      Pruning: Prune flowered shoots to strong buds. Cut back approximately 1/4 of old shoots to the base to promote replacement growth.
      When: Annually, after flowering.

      Suitable for: Deciduous trees and shrubs that flower on current year's growth or are grown for winter stem effect.
      Pruning: Hard prune to a low permanent framework.
      When: Annually in early Spring.
