      Early in the year, typically January till end of March, herbaceous plants might be supplied in 9cm pots to ensure timely despatch.
      Short-lived, clump-forming perennial. Oval to lance-shaped, hairy leaves 8cm (3in) long. Flowers are in terminal clusters of 5-10, 3-4cm (1¼ to 1½in) across, with notched petals.
