  • Deciduous - oval, dark-green leaves to 20cm (8in) long.
  • Shades of pink - All shades of pink through to Carmine (red) - pale to deep pink
  • Height - 6m (20ft)
  • Spread - 6m (20ft)
  • Tall Shrub - variable shrub or spreading tree. Flowers are produced before and with the leaves

  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Full sun - shelter from strong winds.

  • Additional Features - Good to know - - tolerates alkaline soil. The most commonly seen magnolia in the UK.
