  • Shades of pink - All shades of pink through to Carmine (red) - deep pink
  • Height - 45cm (18in)
  • Spread - 8cm (3in)
  • Bulb/Corm or rhizomatous perennial - robust, bulbous perennial with broad, strap-shaped leaves to 30cm (12in) long. Produces open umbels of up to 7 or more funnel-shaped flowers to 8cm (3in) across with recurved, wavy-margined tepals.
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Full sun
  • Additional Features - Good to know - neither lily nor Cornish, this frilly subject was named in 1904 after Athelstan Hall Cornish-Bowden (1871-1942)
  • Pests & Diseases - slugs and possibly mouse attack!
  • Place of origin - garden origin. Possibly Guernsey, Channel Islands.
  • Hardiness - Fully hardy
  • Scented Plants - Scented flowers - faintly scented.
  • Soil Conditions - Medium to light, fertile, well drained soil - dry winter mulch in frost prone areas.
