  • Evergreen - oval to oblong leaves to 6cm (2½in), dark-green above.
  • Height - 5-10m (16-33ft)
  • Spread - 3-5m (10-16ft) or more.
  • Tall Shrub - dense, upright shrub or small tree with stout, angled shoots. Flowers are inconspicuous.
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Full sun - shelter from cold, dry winds.
  • Additional Features - Good to know - very good coastal hedging plant.
